Thermal Transfer Labels

Thermal transfer printing involves using a ribbon with heat-sensitive ink, differing from direct thermal printing, which relies on heat-sensitive paper. In this method, the printer’s print head heats up and transfers wax-based or resin-based ink onto the label material. Thermal transfer is often chosen over direct thermal printing for surfaces sensitive to heat or when the printed labels require greater durability over time.

Meridian specializes in variable imaging products, making us a leading producer of thermal transfer labels. We offer a wide range of stock labels available in both roll and fanfold formats, alongside our custom label manufacturing. Our selection includes paper and film facestocks, as well as stock flood-coated label options. We also provide fanfolded labels and those with ECOIiner.

Custom Thermal Transfer Labels

Explore our custom thermal transfer label options. With numerous choices in face stocks, adhesives, topcoats, liners, over-laminates, and ribbons, the possibilities for customization are virtually limitless.

Direct Thermal Labels

Direct thermal labels feature an ink coating integrated into the paper. As a leader in direct thermal label production, we provide a comprehensive range of stock labels in both roll and fanfold formats, along with custom labels available in non-top-coated and top-coated versions. We also offer fanfolded labels and those with ECOIiner.
